What is Wire Saw Concrete Cutting?

There are a few more tools in the concrete cutting arsenal than just a typical concrete saw.

Concrete cutting can be a difficult task, and wire saw concrete cutting is an innovative way to get the job done whether it’s large or small. Here are some facts on wire saw concrete cutting and how it can make a major difference.

How is Wire Saw Concrete Cutting Different?

Wire saw concrete cutting has been around for decades, but the expertise and precision required to properly get the job done are not easy to come by. The wire saw is outfitted with an inner cable that is about ¼ inch in diameter. On the cable, beads with diamond grit are fitted along the length. In between there are springs so that the wire is flexible. Next, the wire is coated with rubber so that the spring is protected, the diamond beads don’t bunch together or fly off, and the inner cable is protected.

Once the wire is constructed, it’s threaded through the holes and pressed to create a continuous loop. When it’s time to cut, the diamond wire saw tensions the wire and starts spinning it at a rapid rate of 60 miles per hour. The combination of tension and rotation have a lot of cutting power, so the wire can break through just about any concrete structure.

How Can Wire Saw Concrete Cutting Be Used?

Wire saw concrete cutting has countless uses for your business or demolition project. Wire saw concrete cutting can be used for objects above water and under water, huge reinforced concrete sections, and just about anything you can imagine. Wire saw concrete cutting is safe, quick, and very efficient. It can be used for modifying or deconstructing almost any concrete structure.
