Whenever there is an emergency at a commercial building or business, it’s critical that customers and employees can evacuate the premises in a safe and orderly fashion. It’s Rechargeable
Unlike other methods of illuminating spaces, photoluminescence doesn’t need a power supply or any batteries to work. Instead, it’s being charged all of the time by ambient lighting including sunlight, fluorescent lighting, incandescent lighting, and halogen lamps. When your lighting system is completely charged, the photoluminescent lights or material will remain lit for up to 8-10 hours. Instead of adding more batteries at that time, all it takes is more time spent recharging.
Low Maintenance
Again, unlike traditional battery-powered systems, photoluminescent lighting fixtures and materials don’t need to be tested every month. As a result, you won’t need to worry about constant inspections to stay within code. While this might seem like a relatively small portion of time saved, over the course of one business year you could save hours by not needing to constantly test and re-test your emergency lighting fixtures.
Long Lasting
Photoluminescent lighting systems last a whopping 25 years as long as they are properly installed and used. You might not need to use your photoluminescent paint or material ever, but in the event that disaster strikes 10 or 15 years down the road, you will still have a reliable source of safety lighting at your disposal.
